Grow in Spirit — website, iOS, and Android

Effective Date: 15 October 2026
Last Updated: 22 October 2026

Grow in Spirit (the "App"), including the website and the iOS and Android applications, is operated by Inner Presence Transformation Coaching Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to every platform where the App is offered.

In plain words before the legal detail: your journal is sacred and private. Your entries belong to you, are never sold, are never shared with other members, and are never used to train AI models. We collect only what we need to run the App and serve you.

1.Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), timezone, and reminder preferences.
  • Journal content: your morning and evening entries, including gratitude entries, actions of faith, successes, misses and lessons, forgiveness reflections, daily intentions, Scripture reflections, highlighted and bookmarked Bible verses, and any other content you write or dictate into the App.
  • Voice: if you use voice entry, your speech is converted to text. On the website, transcription is performed by your browser's speech service. In the iOS and Android apps, spoken playback (for example, Scripture or guidance read aloud) uses your device's operating-system speech services, and any voice entry uses those device services (see Section 4.3). We store only the resulting text you save, not audio recordings, unless a recording feature is clearly labeled and you choose to use it.
  • Community content: posts, comments, and reactions you choose to share in the Community section. Community content is visible to other members; if you select the anonymity option, your name is hidden from other members but remains linked to your account internally for moderation purposes.
  • Communications with us: messages you send to support, and interactions with the in-App AI Companion.
  • Coaching access information: access codes you redeem and your association with a Grow in Spirit coaching cohort, where applicable.

1.2 Payment Information

Payments on the website are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Payments in the iOS app are processed by Apple (App Store), and payments in the Android app by Google (Google Play). Subscription entitlements for those app-store purchases are managed through RevenueCat on our behalf. We do not receive or store your full card number. From Paddle we receive limited billing information such as subscription status, plan, renewal date, the last four digits of your card where provided, and country. From Apple, Google, and RevenueCat we receive limited billing and entitlement information such as subscription status, plan, renewal or expiry date, and store transaction identifiers needed to unlock premium features. Each provider's handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages or screens visited, features used, entry completion and streak data, and interaction timestamps, on the website and in the iOS and Android apps.
  • Device and technical data: IP address, browser type on the website, operating system, device type, app version, and general (city-level) location inferred from IP.
  • Push notifications (iOS and Android): if you allow reminders, we store a push token and the platform (iOS or Android) so we can deliver the reminders you set. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: on the website we use strictly necessary cookies for login sessions and limited analytics cookies to understand how the App is used. The iOS and Android apps do not use browser cookies. They use local storage on your device to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Where required by law, we request your consent for non-essential cookies and honor your choices.

1.4 Sensitive Personal Information

By its nature, a spiritual journal may reveal your religious beliefs and other deeply personal reflections. We treat all journal content as sensitive. By creating entries, you expressly consent to our processing of this content solely to provide the App's features to you, as described in this Policy. We never use journal content for advertising, profiling for marketing, or sale to any party.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Provide, maintain, and improve the App and your account;
  2. Save and display your journal entries to you across your devices;
  3. Generate your AI features — personalized Scripture selections, AI Companion responses, and weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly summaries (see Section 4);
  4. Process subscriptions, trials, coaching access codes, renewals, and refunds;
  5. Send service communications: reminders you set, receipts, renewal notices, access-expiry notices, security alerts, and material changes to terms or this Policy;
  6. Send optional marketing or program emails only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link;
  7. Operate and moderate the Community section and enforce our Community Guidelines;
  8. Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  9. Comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies): performance of our contract with you (Arts. 6(1)(b)); your consent, including explicit consent for sensitive journal content (Arts. 6(1)(a), 9(2)(a)); our legitimate interests in securing and improving the App (Art. 6(1)(f)); and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)). In Canada, we rely on meaningful consent under PIPEDA and the BC Personal Information Protection Act.

3.What We Never Do

  • We never sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
  • We never show your journal entries to other members, your coach, or Company staff in the ordinary course of operations. Limited, logged administrative access may occur only where strictly necessary to resolve a technical issue you raise, to investigate abuse, or where required by law.
  • We never use your journal content to train AI models and contractually require the same of our AI providers (Section 4.2).

4.AI Features, Voice, and Service Providers

4.1 How AI Features Work

To generate your personalized Scripture selections, Companion conversations, and periodic summaries, relevant portions of your journal content are transmitted securely to our AI service provider(s) for processing, and the generated output is returned to you and stored in your account.

4.2 AI Provider Terms

We use reputable AI providers under agreements (or API terms) providing that your content is processed only to generate responses, is not used to train their models, and is retained by them only transiently as needed to provide the service. We will update this Policy if our providers or these commitments change.

4.3 Voice

On the website, voice entry uses your browser's built-in speech-recognition service (for example, services operated by Google or Apple depending on your browser and device). Your audio may be processed by that provider under its own privacy terms. In the iOS and Android apps, spoken playback uses your device's speech services, and any voice entry is processed by the operating system's speech service under that provider's terms. If you prefer not to have audio processed this way, type your entries and turn off spoken playback.

4.4 Service Providers (Processors)

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, currently including: our database, authentication, and hosting provider; Paddle (website payments, as merchant of record); Apple App Store and Google Play (in-app subscription billing); RevenueCat (subscription entitlements for the iOS and Android apps); our AI provider(s) (AI features); our email delivery provider (service and reminder emails); our push-notification provider (reminders you enable on iOS and Android); and our analytics provider (usage analytics). We may also disclose information: to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests; to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the public, or the Company; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy's protections will continue to apply and you will be notified of any material change.

4.5 International Transfers

Our service providers may store or process data in Canada, the United States, or other countries. Where data is transferred out of your jurisdiction, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

4.6 AI Is Not Professional Advice

The AI Companion, Scripture selections, and summaries are reflective and spiritual-growth tools only. They are not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and the App is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services immediately (911 in Canada and the U.S.) or, in Canada and the U.S., call or text 988.

5.Data Retention

  • Journal content and account data: retained while your account is active. If your subscription lapses, your entries are preserved in read-only form so you never lose your words, until you delete them or your account.
  • Account deletion: when you delete your account (available in Settings or by emailing us), your personal information and journal content are permanently deleted from production systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within 90 days, except for limited records we must keep by law (for example, tax and payment records, typically 7 years).
  • Community posts: you may delete your own posts at any time; deleted posts are removed from member view immediately.

6.Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, hashed passwords, row-level database security so each member's journal is technically isolated to their account, role-restricted and logged administrative access, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law (including PIPEDA breach-of-safeguards reporting and, where applicable, GDPR Articles 33–34).

7.Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction (including Canada under PIPEDA/BC PIPA, the EEA/UK under GDPR, and California under CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy (data portability — you may also export your journal from within the App);
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your information (subject to Section 5);
  • Withdraw consent at any time, including for marketing emails and non-essential cookies;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Non-discrimination: we will never penalize you for exercising your privacy rights;
  • Complain to your supervisory authority — in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia; in the EEA/UK, your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any right, email support@innerpresencetransformation.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30 days). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8.Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (or under the age of majority in their jurisdiction). If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9.Third-Party Links and the Bible Feature

The App may link to third-party sites (for example, in community posts). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Scripture text in the in-App Bible is provided from public-domain sources and/or third-party Bible APIs; your reading activity, highlights, and bookmarks are stored in your private account like any other journal data.

10.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email and/or a prominent in-App notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect, and where required, seek your renewed consent. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the current version.
